Scones with a good cup of tea make for a perfect afternoon snack, and with today’s dreary weather, I thought some chocolate would add to the perfection. This is a new-to-me recipe, and it really is so EASY! And they are really delicious!
This recipe is from Karly Campbell, over at Buns In My Oven: https://www.bunsinmyoven.com/chocolate-chip-scones/
A few differences: I used the scone pan from King Arthur Flour, because I am lazy, and didn’t want to shape/flatten/divide the dough into circles, then triangles. I just stuffed each slot in the pan, and called it good. LOL And they baked beautifully after about 16 minutes – I watched them closely, because I like a little ‘brown’ crunch on the edges.

Also, I added about 1/2 cup of mini semisweet chocolate chips as well as the regular-sized dark chocolate chips. Just because I wanted more chocolate. Because who doesn’t want more chocolate?
And lastly, I used large sparkling sugar atop the scones, because, well, again. That’s what I had, so that’s what I did.
And after eating two of them (really, they’re bite-sized!), I can say they are amazing! Light and tasty, moist and delicious.
