Simple and Inexpensive Ways to Create Paper Borders!

Paper crafts like card-making and scrapbooking can be a terrific creative outlet for all of us, adults and kids alike. But supplies can be on the pricey side. Adorably shaped and fun 3D stickers can run anywhere between $3-$6 for a set of 4-5 one-time use stickers! That’s just crazy!

I have found that purchasing punches – for letters and numbers, as well as multi-use shapes like circles, triangles, generic flowers, and teardrops can provide  a wealth of creativity with a little bit of your own imagination thrown in. The borders in this post were created using a few stock punches, some freehand cutting (like the sun rays and the outline for the ‘SUMMER’ letters), and some layering of paper. Also, using some nifty double-stick foam tape can add a little height to any object, and create a 3D effect, for a lot less money than store-bought stickers!
